Terms of Sale
Last updated: July 2026 · Draft pending legal review
1. Who we are
Oxford Petals & Co. is a floristry studio based in Oxford, United Kingdom. Contact: hello@oxfordpetals.com. These terms apply to all orders placed at oxfordpetals.com.
2. Our products
Flowers are natural, seasonal products. Photographs show representative arrangements; the exact stems, varieties and colours in your order will vary with the season and the market. Substitutions of equivalent or greater value may be made while keeping the overall style. Subscription deliveries are designed by us from what is best that week.
3. Ordering and delivery
Orders for a chosen date must be placed by 12:00 noon two days before delivery. We deliver across Oxford; delivery is free within the Oxford ring road. If the recipient is not in, we will follow your safe-place instructions or leave the flowers with a neighbour and notify you.
4. Cancellations — one-off orders
Because fresh flowers are perishable goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, the 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply to orders of fresh flowers (regulation 28(1)(d)), nor to arrangements made to your specification. You may cancel or change any order free of charge up to 12:00 noon two days before the delivery date; after that the flowers may have been bought and made for you and we cannot offer a refund, though we will always try to help.
5. Subscriptions
- A subscription is a contract for repeat deliveries at the size, price and frequency you choose, charged before each delivery. All key terms are shown before you subscribe and in your welcome email.
- You may cancel within 14 days of signing up for a full refund of amounts not yet used for a delivered or in-preparation order; deliveries already made are charged at the per-delivery price.
- We will email you before each renewal charge.
- You can pause, skip a delivery, or cancel at any time online, effective from the next delivery not yet past its cut-off. Cancelling is as easy as subscribing — no phone call required. No refunds are due for deliveries already made.
- We will give at least 30 days' notice by email of any price change; you may cancel before it applies.
6. Quality and problems
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 our flowers must be of satisfactory quality — fresh on arrival and lasting a reasonable time with the care described on our care card. If your flowers arrive damaged or deteriorate unusually fast, contact us within 48 hours with a photo and we will replace them or refund you. This does not affect your statutory rights.
7. Allergies and pets
Some flowers (notably lilies) are toxic to cats and others carry pollen allergens. Tell us about pets or allergies and we will design accordingly; we cannot be responsible where we weren't told.
8. General
We may update these terms; the version at the time of your order applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing in them limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
